Heaven help her! It was futile to indulge in spinsterish fantasies
about a man who might well be a murderer and thief. Delia
had come to the bedchamber for only one purpose: to bring
the man his clothes and valise. Before she knew what she
was about, however, he had caught her around the waist,
holding her captive. Then he had kissed her.
When his lips touched hers, all her thoughts ceased,
leaving only her senses to do battle. Not that they fought
very hard. Not when the warmth of his body against hers
sent tingling sensations skittering down her spine, while
the masculine, sleepy smell of him filled her in a dizzying
way no champagne could match. Then there was the taste of
him….
