Rachel Caine
Rachel Caine has been writing and publishing novels and
short stories since 1991. She is a former professional
musician who has the distinction of having played with such
musical legends as Henry Mancini, Peter Nero and John
Williams ... she's also an avid movie buff, a TV-holic, and
prefers a good stout Guinness to wimpy American beers.
In addition to a somewhat terrifying writing schedule, she
maintains a full-time job as a Director of Corporate
Communications for a large multinational company.
She's currently enjoying a brief breather after turning in
the sixth novel of her Weather Warden series, THIN
AIR, but will soon be working on the third
Morganville Vampires book, MIDNIGHT ALLEY.
She's also working on a short story for the upcoming
anthology MY BIG FAT SUPERNATURAL HONEYMOON.
She recently turned in the second book of her new
Morganville Vampires series, THE DEAD GIRLS'
DANCE.
SPECIAL NOTICE:
In May 2005, Rachel was diagnosed with early stage breast
cancer. She is grateful for her great doctors, and the
overwhelming support she received from her family, friends
and colleagues. If you'd like to donate to breast cancer
research through the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
She is proud to support various teams of people in their
annual Komen Foundation walks around the country.
Rachel maintains an active Livejournal
account. Feel free to read, comment, and friend!
