Teresa Hill Teresa Hill spent seven years working for a small daily newspaper at Hilton Head Island, but soon after her first child was born, she found that motherhood and newspaper reporting did not mix well and went looking for a second career. In 1991, she sold her first novel to Silhouette under the name Sally Tyler Hayes. Her books have appeared on the USA Today bestseller list, and there are more than one million copies in print.
